In her role as a Program Specialist for the Nebraska Arts Council, Anne works to ensure that Nebraskans have opportunities for arts education in schools, as well as for lifelong learning in the arts. She is responsible for developing, managing, and coordinating the NAC's arts education programs, as well as the administration of its education-related grants and services. Among her responsibilities, Anne manages Arts Learning Project Grants and the Artists in Schools/Communities Grant Program. She also manages the NAC's roster of teaching artists and coordinates the Poetry Out Loud program for the state of Nebraska. She is currently a member of the education committee of Nebraskans for the Arts, the Omaha Directors of Education for Arts & Culture, and 'Poetry from the Plains' website advisory committee. She has served on several regional and national arts education committees and advisory groups, and has been a grant panelist for the Iowa Arts Council, the Arkansas Arts Council, the Nebraska Volunteer Services Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts. Prior to NAC, she was a teaching specialist in the education department at Joslyn Art Museum and headed the education and outreach program at the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts.
